Anesa Colakovic was born in Kosovo; she is a Fulbright alumna in the United States of America, a World Learning Fellow, a Schusterman scholar in Israel, a Rotarian in India, and a German Marshall Fund alumna.
The concept of development runs through her veins. She has experience in setting up both organizations and businesses with a strong social focus. For 12 years, on a voluntary basis, Anesa lead numerous projects/events/campaigns for social inclusion and community development in Kosovo, Serbia, United States, and India. She enjoys working on business development ideas and start-ups, which promote economic development and employment of marginalized communities, minority groups, youth, women, and people with disabilities. Previously, she worked in international organizations and government institutions.
Anesa has a bachelor in Economics and Public Policy and a minor in Law from Rochester Institute of Technology, USA and a Master in International Development from Ohio University, USA.
