Artur Tänna is an international relations master student at the University of Tartu, Estonia. During his studies, he has focused on various topics related to the Middle East: his last research paper was written on alignment strategies of the Gulf countries. He has been living in Istanbul, Turkey and seen the challenges of migration.
As he did hs undergraduate in journalism, he has been working as a journalist for many years. He has covered a lot of topics related to the migrant crisis, including islamophobia and integration issues but he has also addressed the root causes of migration such as conflicts in the Middle East. He has participated in many conferences focusing on the Middle Eastern politics and economy but also on Islam and integration.
He has completed an internship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Estonia, where his task was among other things to do research and write reports on migration.
