Local and follow up events

The workshop and the conference, the two core activities planned within ref:EU, will be accompanied between 2017-2019 by a wide range of activities and events aimed for local communities both in Poland and in other countries of Europe. Local events in Poland will be organised by the ref:EU team, while follow-up activities by our workshop participants.

Local events

The project team organise a series of local events aimed at public concerned about the refugee crisis and Muslim minorities. The form of these events will vary from open lectures to workshops or debates. As the project will mature some of these events will also be used to present our preliminary results from the workshop and the conference. We aim to address the current issues of Muslim minorities and the refugee crisis for the so called “silent majority”, i.e. those who might generally not be targeted by other projects. Many of these events will be oriented at local communities outside of Warsaw. The list of these events is avaliable on a dedicated page.

Follow up events

We are planning 20 follow-up events in total, aimed at local public and organised by workshop participants in their home countries. These are going to be small, local events with 30 participants on average. Depending on the skills, capacities and ideas of our workshop graduates, the forms of these events will vary from open lectures to workshops or debates.
